Day 25: Entering the Oceans of the Bhagavatham

With the weekend finally here, I found myself standing at the edge of a massive spiritual mountain: a 42-hour discourse series on the *Sampoorna Bhagavatham* by Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao. For a long time, I have wanted to dive deep into these ancient chronicles, and Saturday gave me the perfect, undisturbed pocket of time to begin.
### Tuning Out the World
I spent hours completely absorbed in the narration, learning about the grand lineage of kings, sages, and the early manifestations of the divine. Listening to Sri Chaganti break down the hidden meanings behind each character’s birth and choices made me realize how little I actually knew.
Every single character in the Bhagavatham isn’t just a historical figure; they are a mirror to our own human nature, showing us the consequences of ego, desire, and surrender.
### Keeping the Rhythm
Because my mind was entirely focused on these stories, the day passed by with a beautiful, quiet flow. I stepped away from the audio only to perform my morning and evening Sandhyavandanam and pooja right on time.
Amma’s cooking kept me well-nourished, allowing me to dedicate every spare minute to just sitting, listening, and contemplating. I went to sleep with the grand imagery of ancient cosmic histories playing in my mind.
### Today’s Lesson
Lord Ayyappa taught me today that the best use of a weekend is to completely unplug from the modern world's noise and plug into timeless wisdom. When you willingly sit still for hours just to listen to the glories of the divine, the restless mind naturally quietens down.
Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa.
