Day 8: The Center of the Circle

Day 8: The Center of the Circle
Today was Hanuman Jayanti, and the energy of the Vayuputra seemed to carry me through a day of beautiful contrasts. Wearing the Mala to a corporate office is a statement of faith, but today, that faith felt like a shield of calm.
The Banana Leaf in the Boardroom
Lunch was a highlight. I sat down for my traditional meal on a banana leaf, and soon, I found myself at the center stage. My entire team gathered around, watching me eat in the traditional way while they had their usual lunch. There was no awkwardness—only a shared sense of respect. It was a reminder that when you are comfortable in your roots, others naturally respect your journey.
A New Voice at Toastmasters
Later, I attended my Toastmasters meeting. I gave my speech in my Deeksha attire, but the real change wasn't on the outside. Usually, public speaking involves a bit of nervous adrenaline, but today, I felt a profound calmness while speaking. My voice felt steady, my mind was clear, and for the first time, I wasn't "performing"—I was simply sharing.
Evening Peace
I wrapped up the day with a deep, one-hour pooja, a temple visit, and a reward of my favorite Paneer dinner.
Today's Lesson:
When you carry your values with confidence, you don't have to fit into the world; the world makes room for you.
