Day 7: The Strength in Subtleness

## Day 7: The Strength in Subtleness
Today was **Hanuman Jayanti**, a day vibrating with the energy of the ultimate devotee. My morning began with the sacred rhythm of **Sandhyavandanam**, followed by a special pooja for Lord Hanuman. There is a unique synergy in honoring the *Vayuputra* while being in the *Deeksha* of Swami Ayyappa—both represent a mastery of the senses and an unwavering focus on the Divine.
With that spiritual armor on, I headed to the office to face the "secular" world.
### The Test of Temperament
Life has a funny way of testing your *Sadhana* in the most mundane moments. Today, I had to deal with a situation that usually triggers a lot of internal friction: following up with someone who owes me money.
In my "pre-Deeksha" life, this conversation might have been blunt, perhaps even heated. But today, wearing the *Mala* acted as a physical and mental reminder of who I am trying to become. I chose to handle it with smoothness and grace. I spoke my truth without losing my peace. It’s a subtle shift, but a powerful one—learning that you can be firm in your worldly dealings while remaining soft in your heart.
### The Cycle of Karma and Devotion
After a long day at the office, I returned home to fulfill my daily *Karma*—the duties we owe to our household and our path. Despite the exhaustion starting to settle into my bones, I made my way to the temple.
Standing in the sanctum after a tiring day, the fatigue seemed to evaporate for a few moments. It’s as if the temple serves as a recharging station for the soul. I’ve come back home physically tired, but mentally settled.
**Today’s Message:**
**"Spirituality is not just what you do on the prayer mat; it is how you speak when you are owed, and how you act when you are tired."**
Being in Deeksha doesn't mean life's problems disappear; it means your approach to them changes. Whether it's the discipline of a Hanuman Jayanti pooja or the patience required in a financial follow-up, the goal is the same: to remain a "Sthitapragya" (one who is steady and balanced).
**Day 8 Check-in:**
 * **Morning:** Empowered by the strength of Hanuman.
 * **Work:** Chose "smooth" over "sharp" in a tough conversation.
 * **Evening:** Reconnected with the Divine at the temple.
Now, as sleep finally claims me, I am grateful for another day of growth.
*Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa.*
**A quick follow-up for you:** Since you've mastered the art of "smooth talking" during a money dispute today, did you notice if the other person responded differently because of your calm energy?
