Day 21: A Rainy Evening and Quiet Reflections
The day began with a peaceful routine. I completed my morning Sandhyavandanam and pooja rituals, which gave me a good, focused start before heading into the office. Work went smoothly, and I was able to finish all my tasks for the day on time.
### Navigating the Rain
By the time I left the office, the weather had turned, and a heavy downpour started. Despite the messy evening commute through the rain, I made it back home safely.
Once inside, I washed up and immediately got back to my routine, completing my evening rituals without letting the weather or the long drive disrupt my focus.
### Seeking Wisdom
With the rain pouring outside, I settled down and tried to listen to some discourses about Adi Shankaracharya. I didn't get very far today and couldn't continue the session, but I plan to get back to it when time permits. Even a brief moment of tuning into his profound wisdom was a nice way to end a very simple, steady day.
I wrapped up the night with a light dinner and went to bed listening to the sound of the rain.
### Today’s Lesson
Lord Ayyappa taught me today that nature has its own way of making us slow down. When heavy rains disrupt the external world, it is a perfect opportunity to turn inward, stick to our rituals, and find warmth in simple learning.
Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa.
